Our 500-horsepower test stand is designed to test the largest mobile equipment pumps and motors. Pressures, flows, speeds, pilot signals and other outputs are measured and recorded and adjustments are made to set the pump or motor to the proper operating specifications.

Hydraulic cylinder manufacturing, remanufacturing and service facility

In our cylinder department, we operate two shifts, maintain a complete machine shop and stock standard and metric seals, chrome plated rod and barrel material for prompt turn-around. Our process is standardized to promote consistency and high quality. Cylinders are cleaned, inspected prior to disassembly, marked appropriately, disassembled, cleaned again, evaluated, and priced prior to quoting the customer. After approval, parts are gathered and machined, then the cylinder is assembled, tested and painted. Information is recorded throughout this process.

Whether it is a small pneumatic cylinder or a large crane cylinder, our technicians are prepared and equipped to rebuild cylinders to top performing condition.

We only use the best parts and stock them to insure quick turn around. Typically, when a customer’s cylinder fails, it is the only thing keeping the customer from working. So, we make sure downtime is minimal.

Our skilled technicians are trained to properly rebuild hydraulic cylinders. Special care is taken to protect the rod surface, barrel surface, piston, gland and seals. All parts are cleaned again prior to assembly.

No job is complete until it is tested. Our cylinder testing capabilities allow us to properly test hydraulic cylinders for piston bypass at various positions along the stroke and for leaks at the gland and base end as well. We are able to test single and double acting single rod and telescopic cylinders.

Custom manufacturing of cylinders is available. In addition to manufacturing replacement parts, we are able to work with customers to design and manufacture cylinders for their specific applications. These custom cylinders come in steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum and other materials.

Inventory

Atlantic Hydraulics maintains an extensive inventory of replacement parts as well as remanufactured/ exchange units for quick delivery. If we do not have the reman unit in stock, we can usually reman and return it in 2-3 days.

Information Management

Atlantic Hydraulics has invested significantly in information technology, specifically shop floor and job management. Our customized system allows us to track a job from beginning through invoicing and keep that information indefinitely.

Atlantic Hydraulics can integrate its custom computer management system with customers by:

• Using item specific serial numbers
• Conforming documentation
• Failure analysis reports, if needed
• Test reports provided with delivery

To insure quick turnaround and the highest quality, the work load is managed by our customized computer program that schedules and tracks all jobs. Labor, materials, evaluation reports, photographs, test information, etc. are stored in the system indefinitely. So if we have a unit come back later for service, we can quickly retrieve the information about what work was done before to help customers identify any failure trends that may be prevented.
